Maria-Susana Jaramillo-Echeverri is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Department In the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. Susana received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Administration from EAFIT University in Colombia. She also holds a Master of Science in Marketing and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Alabama.
Her previous work experience is directly related to academia as she has 6 years of teaching experience with teaching introductory marketing classes. Her responsibilities in this capacity included curriculum design, course coordination, and instruction. During her tenure at EAFIT University, she also served as a member of an academic research team providing assistance in conducting research related to emotional speech in service encounters.
Her areas of interest are the role of emotions in service interactions, service relationships, service recovery, and transformative consumer research.
When Susana is not teaching or conducting research, she enjoys reading and writing short stories. She also considers herself an avid macro photographer of wildlife.
